The six attitudes of high achievers

"The six attitudes of high achievers"

1. Make no small plans

Many think that finishing high school is their top priority. Yet they take time to think about what is top await them in the future, many kids in our community think that once they are finished that their life is made and that they could begin work and stop reading or listening to their teachers. No, all those kids are setting themselves up to if they decide not to take time and study is to ruin their future with back breaking labor with only enough to eat. Many success full people did not have an easy life or had nothing at a all, and they used that to become famous, loved, respected and overall successful. Such people are horror writer and author of "The Raven" Edgar Allan Poe, Amazon pioneer Jeff Bezos, and hard working CEO of Starbucks Howard Schultz. They all became self made-man because of their hard work and perseverance. I am like this men, I have no intentions of working my life out for a minimal wage which represents the totalitarian power of the the corporations.

Mediocre people don't like high achievers, and high achievers don't like mediocre people.
-Nick Saban

A perfect example of a high achiever is current CEO and former owner of the Seattle SuperSonics. I do not know if he had plans to form an empire or what not, but what I do know is that he wanted to leave Brooklin by any means and that meant getting a merit scholarship for being outstanding in sports. And with that opportunity he left poverty and became successful, enough to have a net worth of 2.9 BILLION DOLLARS.

2. Do what they fear

Anyone can be competitive in life, but a trick that can get the edge in something is being feared on. It can also bring bad things, such as being hated, not respected or even create powerful and dangerous enemies one does not desire. Being feared is a good in some way because it shows your competitors that you are no one they would like to mess with or get on their bad side, being feared can show your impressive skills, a point far beyond that of impression; a skill that is feared is a great thing because that shows determination, passion, and a scary dose of knowledge. To be feared in a positive way can be compared to the guitar solo in Hotel California, why you may ask. To begin with, that is feared because the chemistry between Joe Walsh and Don Felder, they play so accurate and with so much feelings that they perfectly sync.

“There are two basic motivating forces: fear and love. When we are afraid, we pull back from life. When we are in love, we open to all that life has to offer with passion, excitement, and acceptance"
-John Lennon

3. Are willing to prepare

Being prepared for anything is one of the most essential key thing for survival. Just as Walter Canno coined the acute stress response to survive form an attack; to run or to attack, but to react. Anyone can act at the moment without concision of what they do, but they cannot think or predict the next movement, nether the less can they use their prediction to their favor. We are full of enthusiasm and joy, but we never think everything thoroughly. We do not like to wait and prepare for something greater, we all ways want our recompense right away instead of waiting for it to get better. To prepare is to be more deadly, at the time of looking for a job or applying for school; preparing yourself is essential, not are personal gain such as grades and a great curriculum; to catch the pray, a trap is needed and preparedness is the trap.
“Everyone wants to win, but not everyone is willing to prepare to win.”
 – Bob Knight
I am willing to prepare for my future by doing all my work just as right now. I want to be more competitive in the work force to have all the opportunities I can possible.

4. Are willing to risk failure

Failure is in every person there is not a single person that has not tried a something and failed. If they say they have never failed is either because the are lying or they just have not mature enough to accept failure. This is applied everywhere, not only at school or at the work force. An example of this is if a person decides to open a business and fails. It might not be beause he was not good enough for his businnes to prosper, or for it to be known, but it could be that he was afraid of letting his little business fail that he did not think about every little detail, and therefore he risked everything. Now, many people may think that this is a horrible situation, but it is not, in fact, now the same person has the wisdom to not make the same mistakes and might even reconsider the business world. And now he could be coming with a better idea that will lead his business to new heights; it all depends if he is willing to risk, not a little, but everything. Another example is in school, a student might think that going out with friends and being cool is better than preparing for life. And then there  is the other portion of students who are willing to give up a friendship if it is causing them trouble with their studies. These students are scholars and they are willing to fail at being a teen, and be compensated as a successful young person. A scholar  is willing to cancel dates, trips or other personal activities if they need to study or finish any homework. A scholar is willing to take challenging courses to fail and feel human, to see that they are  not a supreme being, to learn what they did not know.

I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can't accept not trying.
-Michael Jordan

I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.

-Thomas Edison

I will trying my best to not fail. Yet, if I where to fail, I would learn from it and not stop trying until a solution appeared. I will be persistent until I am accepted by what is giving me trouble.

5. Are teachable

There are many stubborn people in the is world that just cannot learn one way or the other. The just cannot see the big picture of everything, they just think that their perspective is the only correct one out there. And yet, I was one not so long ago, I remember being against everything that anyone said just because. So to those who think that their word and voice is the only that matter, let me tell you that you will not go far with an attitude such as that one, that every time everyone wants an advice, they will certainly will not come to to you for help. Therefore think if you want to be a high achiever with fancy cars, houses and money to spare; or a low achiever who has nothing because he chose to not do his work, listen or pay attention. Only high are willing to search for ways to get knowledge, get more intellect and be ahead. It is never to early or a cowards choice to be a high achiever, but it will be a cowards move to go with the masses and try to be something you aren't, just to be accepted at school.

"Experiences teach only the teachable"
-Aldous Huxley

I will apply this to my life by being more teachable than what I already am, and I will not waist time on nonsense like the rest of my peers from this generation.

6. Have heart
A heart is the vital organ for human, if it is pierced or damaged in any way, the living organism can die within a second. We can live if the brain is not so damaged, but if little happened to the heart, the whole body system shuts down in order to aid the damaged organ. But now, a heart is use to symbolize the feeling within one, making perfect sense since it is the most fragile part of a human. instead of giving the brain credit for every emotion we have, we give it to the heart, and this is because it is more formal and seductive to say heart instead of brain. People who have a heart are said to be kind, just and compassionate, to have great moral values and an immense amount of love to share with anyone. These rare people are founded on mutual respect, love and with the ability to hear everyone. Yet, these people are rare because they either have to had been through an extremely rough youth and had the strength to create their path and become a person of great heart, or they could have just been introduced into the greatness of having a heart at a young age.

I have put my heart and soul into my work, and have lost my mind in the process.
-Vince Van Gogh

Not until this year have I noticed the importance of having a great heart, and becoming self made man, unfortunately three academic years late. Therefore, I will apply this by slowly introducing myself into having a heart.

Reflection
No person can be perfect for perfection is the condition, state, or quality of being free or as free as possible from all flaws or defects. Yet, there is the possibility of being near perfect; every single human has a flaw where it is small or big. The only thing we can do as humans is converting our defections into improvements. These six attitude for high achievers is just a list when it is not used as intended. But if one takes the time to apply it to their life to become a high achiever, or to better themselves, then it becomes not just a list, but a symbol of quality, hard work, improvement, failure after failure, morality, perseverance and just much more than one person can explain.
A high achiever cannot be defined as a person who tried and gave up, or that intended task too difficult for anyone else.
A successful person is defined by those who have the spirit and heart to stand out overall, who compete with others to achieve what they want, yet still have compassion for the other competitor. A high achiever does not have time to stay in one place without learning, be fouling around with their peers, or being a time waster. A high achiever is willing to go an extra mile to learn something new.
And I will apply all of this steps into my life and soul to achieve great things, things that I was meant to achieve because I  had set them as my goals. I honestly will not become a high achiever from day to night, but I will become one, I will be outstanding; even if it takes me years of failed attempts, because I am willing to loose everything and keep on trying.
