Glenn Cunningham, the crippled Olympian
His brother had died in the accident that had caused Cunningham to be crippled as a young boy. Glenn, his brother Floyd, and the rest of their siblings were in their school, and without notice, Floyd ignited a small coal stove that had been used the night before for a community meeting; once that had happened, the two brothers where consumed by the fire that was spitted out.
They ran home as their little siblings searched for their mother. The doctor had diagnosed both and determined that only Glen was to live, but without the abilities walk. He decided to write his own destiny and deny what the doctor had said. He decided to be a doctor to help others and to be an Olympian, so he did and won.
Summary; I know it takes a strong person to be like Cunningham, not everyone
